Daisy 10-18-10
Posted October 18th, 2010 by Mom | Comments (0)
Fall is nice, but springtime will always be my favorite season.
So when I offered to make a dessert for Bunko tomorrow night, I chose a daisy cake pan. I could have done a pumpkin (like last year) or jack o’lantern but that just didn’t appeal to me. So, daisy it is.
May it make the girls (Cheryl, Lisa, Missy, Margaret, Kari, Donna and Jill) smile as I have smiled making the cake, icing, final details.
Another J-speak 10.13.10

A couple of weeks ago C and J’s school had their yearly walk-a-thon. The children got pledges for the number of laps they would walk or run around the course set up in the bus loop.
On the day of the walk-a-thon, C did really well. J on the other hand, wiped out during the first lap. He skinned up his knees, elbow and wrist pretty bad.
That evening I gave him some Tylenol to help his aches and pains. I also proceeded to sing to him in the hopes that it would comfort him. In response to my singing, J said, “Mama, don’t sing. I’m already bruised.”
Ouch.
Sunday School Works

Last night J was being difficult after “lights out” at bedtime. When B went to get the spanking stick, J hollered, “I repeeeeent.” B and I both bit our tongues to not laugh. B then asked him what “repent” meant. J replied, “to turn awaaaaaay from your sins. And I’m gonna repent all week.” Gotta love that kid! Obviously he is learning something in Sunday School!
