Saddlebrook River 7-30-09
Posted July 30th, 2009 by Mom | Discussion (0)
This is the view from our backyard patio. Our yard slopes down towards the back, so looking at the fence you can see the water accumulating over the banks of the drainage ditch that runs behind our house.
J enjoying playing in his sand/water box after the rain slowed down to a drizzle. Note how his entire foot is covered by the rainwater!
This is another picture of J playing in the fort.
Here, in the following pictures are the river/drainage ditch overflowing. AKA Saddlebrook River:
In these pictures, also note that the drainage ditch is on the OTHER side of the bushes and trees. There are a few trees between our fence and the drainage ditch, but the ditch is lined with trees and bushes. The area between our fence and the bushes/trees has a paved walking trail, part of the C’ville Greenbelt Systems and SHOULD NOT be under water….
