Before there were computers, your Mommy existed.

Last night as I was rocking J at bedtime, we were discussing school. Last week his class was studying the letter T. On Friday of each week, the kids bring for “show and tell” items that begin with the current letter being studied. J missed school on Friday since he and C had doctor’s appointments. This week they will study the letter U. We also discussed U items after the following discussion…

J was asking me what he was going to bring for show and tell that started with T and I told him about telephone, top, tooth, teeth, train, etc. I then mentioned “typewriter.”

Precious, young J asked me, “What’s a typewriter?” (Wow, another moment for me to feel old.) To explain it simply, I told him that it was what people used before they had computers. That people had to wind paper into it and use a keyboard to type papers.

This reminds me of C asking about cassette tapes and “What’s a record?”

Aaaahhh, the ever changing world we live in. Who knows what my children will invent. Today, the weather was in the 70’s. After church the boys enjoyed playing outside in the minimalistic amount of sand in the sandbox. Maybe the boys will create a sandbox that never needs refilling? (Reminder to B, we need another 12 bags or so of sand for the sandbox… and another wheel for the wheelbarrow… :-) Spring is on the way!!!!!!!!!
