Southern Accent
B keeps threatening me that we are going to send the boys out to be with their Aunt C for a few months to try to get the southern accent out of them. I was just playing cars with J and he had a straight line of cars on the floor. Here are some words he was using (and their phonetic spellings of how J said the words):
line (li-on)
help (hay-up)
ambulance (am-bu-lance) This might be the correct way to say it - what do I know?!
told (toad)
lie (wye - lie with a “w” beginning)
I am really going to miss him being 3! Well, not the attitude part or the mouthing off part, or the misbehaving, well… I am going to miss his phonetics. Seriously, every phase has wonderful parts!
