Chickens make eggs (and milk?)
The boys and I had to make a grocery store run this morning (yes, B - I forgot the milk, that’s why I asked you to bring it home this evening). I am almost out of my homemade hot chocolate mix and needed to make some more, in addition we were out of eggs. As I was putting the groceries away, I sat aside on the counter the ingredients to make my hot chocolate mix. One of the ingredients is powdered milk.
J came inside from playing in the backyard and saw the box of powdered milk. The box of powdered milk has a picture of a cow on it.
J: Is this cow food?
Mommy: No, it is powdered milk to put in my hot chocolate mix. Where does milk come from?
J: I don’t know.
Mommy: Think about it. Were does the milk we drink come from?
J: Chickens!
Mommy: No. Chickens make eggs. Cows make milk. Now, where does milk come from?
J: Cows!
I was half expecting J to say “Walmart!”
So much to learn!
