Hey kids, where’s my knee brace?

Sometimes these kids baffle me. Take today for instance. I was putting C’s and J’s new school tote bags on their over-the-door hooks to get their rooms ready to start school on Wednesday and also I put their AWANA vests and bags on their hooks so I could help them stay somewhat organized. Their backpacks from last year needed to be put away as well since they would be using tote bags this year (pre-school requirement).
In putting away their backpacks, I cleaned them out of old stuff. In C’s bag I found my knee brace. I had been looking for it for a week before our California trip, knowing that we would be walking quite a bit. I ended up using an ACE bandage to keep my kneecap from shifting while walking lots. Glad to know where my brace was all this time… Why C wanted it in his backpack is beyond me.
