Date Night
Posted July 28th, 2007 by Mom |
This evening B and I went out for a date night. Thanks, Jordan, for babysitting!!
First B and I went to a great dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We haven’t been there for quite a while. The onion appetizer was cooked perfectly. After dinner we had some time before the movie started so we checked out Best Buy. I found an awesome washer/dryer. We’ll have to do some comparison shopping, but I can visualize a really cool new set in my near future! B checked out the camera section while I browsed the music section. We left with lots of stuff added to our mental wish lists, but nothing in bags.
B let me pick the movie. I chose “No Reservations” with Catherine Zeta-Jones. It was a really good chick-flick and Rated PG. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It had a sweet story line, with some romance and comedy. Two thumbs up from me. It is one that I would want to purchase to see again, but not one that I would rush to the theater to see again. Prices for seeing movies is too ridiculous. I don’t know how high school kids date - dinner and a movie really costs lots!
Having a babysitter is great. Once we were seated at the restaurant, B said to me, “I don’t have a kid beside me and you don’t have one hanging on you!” I looked deep into his blue eyes and was content to be just with him. Same with holding his hand in the movie and as we were leaving. Thanks for the “twirl” as we were getting to the car, my love!
