Toddler Whiplash
Posted July 23rd, 2007 by Mom |
For Christmas last year, the boys received a Fisher Price Jeep Hurricane. It has two speeds - 2.5 mph and 5 mph. We have had the jeep on the lowest setting until this past Saturday.
This morning J wanted to go out front to ride his jeep. C was swinging out back, so I suggested that we get the jeep out of the garage and take it to the back yard. This was acceptable to J. As J was about to drive through the gate to the backyard, he hit the fence with the corner of the jeep and J got knocked forward and hit his head on the steering wheel. After I hugged him and kissed his head, J told me that he was alright and wanted to get “back in my driver’s seat and drive” the jeep.
Wow - 5 mph is really fast. The boys (with J driving at the moment) are in the jeep zipping around the backyard. With the additional speed, the jeep doesn’t get stuck as easily on the dew covered grass.
Oh, C just told J, “wait a minute. I need to put this up.” C came and tossed his blue blanket in the living room. I guess C is getting prepared to drive.
