Is the end near?!

I was watching our local weather channel, knowing the bad weather was near. When I saw the line of heavy thunderstorms, I was concerned. Knowing that the boys don’t like thunder and lightening, I knew that I was in for quite a bit of time holding them while watching their favorite shows and creating a lot of distraction from the weather.
As I continued to watch the weather channel, the screens changed from local radar, to regional, to the satellite view and finally to the forecast for the next several days. It was blank. Okay - exactly how bad are the thunderstorms that are on the way?!
