A New Life
Posted May 15th, 2002 by Dad | Comments Off
Wow.
May 15, 2002. A day we will never forget.
Nothing could have prepared us for the the birth of a child. Everyone tells you that you will adore your child like no other child you have ever known. Believe it. Life takes on new meaning.
We want to thank everyone who has prayed for us over the last few years as this journey progressed. It took a long time to get C here, and sometimes the road was rough. Without your prayers our little miracle baby would not be here. Thank you.
As hard as this journey was for us, we were blessed by prayer, friends, and family. There are countless others who have had much more difficulty than we have. Please pray for them and offer them your support like you have us.
C’s birth has reminded us of many things.
We have been reminded of how important our friends are. Since the birth, so many people have visited and brought moral support, as well as flowers, balloons, cute little outfits, stuffed animals or anything else that we needed. Everyone has been generous beyond our needs and predicted them before we did – and we thank you.
We have been reminded that we should all be better citizens, better husbands and wives, and better stewards of all we have. We have been reminded that we should all be better children. Thanks to both our moms and dads for raising us so well.
To our parents: If we only do half as well as you have we will be ahead of the curve. We now can see just how much you must love us. We love you!
To all of our friends and family – we look forward to all of the wisdom you will be imparting to C (and us) over the years.
Everything is so perfect. Glory be to God, for he is the one that makes this all possible.
We love you C. We always will.
